Job Description

ophthalmologist looking for jobs and partnerships ojo ophthalmology jobs online 13East Texas - Glaucoma/ Cataracts Surgeon Needed for Thriving Group Practice! Partnership Position with Collegial, Collaborative Group!

We are looking for a fellowship-trained Glaucoma Surgeon to join the largest independent multi-specialty group in East Texas! The incoming Glaucoma surgeon will be doing a mix of Glaucoma and Cataracts.

Our collegial, collaborative 13-physician group is experiencing tremendous growth due to the thriving East Texas economy and GLAUCOMA eye care is severely underserved in our region. You will be able to walk into a busy glaucoma practice with complete technician and scribe support and enjoy a steady stream of internal and external referrals.

For young ophthalmologists, our current Glaucoma Surgeon has a teacher’s heart and will be a great MENTOR. He uses the latest MIGS and Refractive IOL technology and doesn’t refer anything out, so you will see everything!

Excellent cataract surgery skills are also a must. We would love for the incoming Glaucoma doctor to see 50-60% glaucoma along with a mix of general / refrective / cataracts cases.

Starting out, this will be a full-time, employed position working in our Tyler clinic but we are looking for a like-minded doctor who is looking for a long-term PARTNERSHIP fit. We want to find a doctor who recognizes the value of our most important resource, our people, and is willing to engage with and serve the East Texas community. We are looking for a good collegial teammate who has the patient’s best interest in mind and is highly technical and skilled.

If you would like to teach, there will be opportunities to do so within the local hospital community and the new local medical school.

We have two, physician-owned, state-of-the-art AAAHC Certified ASCs.

A competitive salary, complete benefits package, quarterly bonuses, professional malpractice, sign-on bonus, and relocation is available. Our compensation packages exceed national salary averages and include lucrative productivity bonuses.

The Area

Our community is nestled among the beautiful pines, azaleas, and dogwoods of East Texas, and it’s a great place to raise a family. It's the largest city in Northeast Texas but has a small-town feel. You will find friendly people, all the amenities you would see in a large metropolitan area, and plenty of things to do around the beauty of the local parks, botanical gardens and arboretums, lakes, zoo, our own State Park, and the world-famous Rose Garden. We have a thriving and diverse economy supported by multiple colleges, hospitals, agribusiness, energy, and technology. If you want to experience a night on the town, theatre, concerts, or professional sporting events, Dallas is only 90 minutes away. The beaches of the Gulf Coast are also within easy reach.
