Well managed, private practice in Southwestern Chicago Suburb is looking to hire a comprehensive eye care specialist who enjoys seeing a wide variety of pathology while meeting the refractive needs of our diverse patient base.
Established in 2005, we have developed an excellent relationship with our patients and with the communities we serve. Our staff is professional, experienced, well organized, and a pleasure to work with. We believe in work/ life balance and therefore do not have weekend clinic hours. We are located just 1 hour south of Chicago, in a lovely suburban environment that provides easy access to the best of both worlds.
Optometrist Duties & Tasks:
- Perform high quality comprehensive eye exams
- Busy opportunity (20-25 patients per day) with great support staff
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment and management of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses (glasses and contact lenses)
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients and communicate with comanaging surgeons
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Handle eye care emergencies
Requirements:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Illinois license to practice optometry
- Team oriented
- Positive attitude
- Excellent customer service orientation
