Prominent state of the art Ophthalmology practice in the Ocala, Florida area is searching for a Director of Operations to oversee its strategic, clinical and ASC operations for their fast-growing ophthalmology practice. Great opportunity for an experienced healthcare operations director looking for a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have the ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple strategic priorities simultaneously and work effectively as a team member to execute long-term strategies and implement defined initiatives. Master's degree in business, nursing, or in Healthcare related field preferred. At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience ideally in both clinical and ambulatory surgery center environments. Ophthalmology experience preferred.
The successful candidate will bring the following core competencies to the organization:
- Fluent knowledge in oversight and direction of both clinical and ASC operations in the ophthalmic space.
- Well-versed in monitoring key performance metrics and measuring practice performance against industry benchmarks.
- The ability to monitor managed care contracting, billing, coding, and compliance standards for both an ophthalmic clinic and surgery center.
- Experience auditing clinical and surgical records for compliance with patient care guidelines and coding standards.
- A solid understanding of quality improvement, infection control, and risk management programs associated with ophthalmology.
- Experience administrating quality assurance protocols in the clinic and surgery center to ensure the safety and satisfaction of patients.
- Fluent in the regulatory and compliance, licensure, and accreditation standards associated with an ophthalmology practice and surgery center.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical and surgical protocols, and the ability to recommend changes that maintain or improve the standard of patient care and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated skills in leading, mentoring, coaching, and promoting supervisors and managers, while adhering to applicable HR laws and regulations.
- The ability to collaborate with both physicians and staff to create optimal flow and efficiency, while ensuring both superior patient care and successful operating results.
- Able to collaborate with the Marketing Director to initiate and implement marketing programs for both the location and physicians.
