CALIFORNIA - 2 Optometrists Needed for Collegial, Collaborative CALIFORNIA MD/OD Practice - Beaches and Mountains Location!

A 4 M.D., 4 O.D. ophthalmology group practice in a small, beautiful California city is searching for a talented Optometrist for their growing team.

This organization is a well-known 50-year-old practice. It is a highly-respected market leader in the Central California area. The location is nicely situated in the Sierra Madre Mountains and just 25 minutes from the Pacific coastline. The city’s population is 102,000 and the county is home to 425,000. The local unemployment rate is 5.6% and the area’s economy is driven by wineries, agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare, education and other industries.

The weather is mild with a variation of 10 degrees; average highs in January and August are 63 and 73, respectively, so this region is ideal for active types who relish exploring, hiking, cycling and walking on the beaches. You will enjoy the relaxing quality of life this family-friendly region offers.

Experience working in an Ophthalmology practice is preferred but is not required. The concentration for the incoming O.D. will be medical optometry and includes: complete eye exams, pre and post Cataract care, LASIK and Refractive care, co-management of Glaucoma patients and more. The incoming Optometrist will have the opportunity to focus on providing outstanding patient care without the hassles of charting in EHR, coding, writing prescriptions, doctor's letters, and other paperwork. The offices where you’ll work are modern, artfully designed and spacious.

Perhaps the most refreshing aspect of this position are the bonds among the physician staff here. The MD’s and OD’s enjoy a very collegial, collaborative relationship. Doctors work side by side with mutual respect and a desire to serve the patient in the best way possible. There is virtually no turnover on the physician side and several of the OD’s left their own private practices to join this group.

In addition to a remarkable workplace with friendly, professional colleagues, the incoming Optometrist can expect great compensation and benefits along with an attractive incentives structure.

This is a unique opportunity for a compassionate, highly skilled O.D. who values a team approach to patient care.
