Practice for Sale - Thriving SOUTHERN INDIANA CIty -

INDIANA
General / Comprehensive Ophthalmologist or Subspecialist Needed for Partnership in Wonderful Southern INDIANA City.
An ophthalmology practice in the Tri-State area is looking for a talented ophthalmologist for their growing practice. This is a small practice with 1 full-time and 1 part-time MD, a part-time O.D. and a very caring, friendly staff of 8. The practice was started 4 years ago by 2 local physicians who have worked in the community for the last 25+ years. Their patients know and trust them and are very loyal and referring physicians trust their ethics, care philosophy and results. The office personnel are close and work well together. They are good people who well trained and genuinely care about great patient care. The practice has grown year over year since its inception and is busy clinically and surgically. The incoming ophthalmologist can expect to see 30 to 35+ patients per day and perform 200 to 500 (and even higher) surgeries per year, depending on skills and experience. This position allows for a unique balance between practice ownership and quality of life. The incoming physician will appreciate the financial stability that this group offers. It has a very tight working relationship with a large, local health care system and a strong group of actively referring Optometrists who have known the doctors here for many years. This is also a great place to acquire additional training for young, future practice owners. You will be mentored by a former ophthalmology residency director who is engaging, highly skilled and loves to teach.
This is an ideal small city with a direct population of 175k and an MSA of 850k, which includes Southern Indiana, Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois. Once people are here, they are amazed at how friendly, hospitable and social the people are. The city continues to grow and still offers a very low cost of living. The area is very proud of their longstanding relationship with Indiana University and are elated with the news that IU is building a new medical school campus here. This will aid area growth, draw young professionals, and increase cultural diversity here. The city is centered around the Ohio river, and you and your family will enjoy sunset walks on the waterfront, watching river boats and eating at outdoor cafes. There are other wonderful things to do here too; visiting one of seven museums, attending minor league baseball games, going to great concerts, art festivals, the large farmer’s market and the local zoo. This area of Southern Indiana is a hidden gem and has a tremendous wealth of natural riches. There are many wonderful parks and preserves, featuring dense forests, rolling hills, miles and miles of hiking and biking trails and lots of caves and caverns to explore.
This opportunity offers tremendous work: life balance, an opportunity for ownership, great training from a skilled mentor, good-hearted staff who care about patients and a welcoming, hospitable local citizenry.
Excellent compensation, generous benefits and a variety of attractive incentives will be offered including relocation and sign on inducements.
