Comprehensive Ophthalmologist Wanted for Excellent Group Practice Partnership.  Charming Community, Great Quality of Life, Wonderful Education for Your Children-  Downtown Boston 30 miles away!

A COMPREHENSIVE ophthalmologist with excellent cataract surgery skills is wanted for a growing ophthalmology group practice in the Boston region. Sub-specialists / Fellowship trained ophthalmologists are encouraged to inquire.
A well-established and respected Massachusetts practice needs a Comprehensive ophthalmologist to assume the care of patients that are currently seen by 2 ophthalmologists.  This opening exists because of a recent acquisition and to supplant a doctor who is transitioning into retirement.

This congenial, multi-specialty practice has 59 employees across 3 offices.  Doctors here cover: Retina, Pediatrics, Oculoplastics, Cornea, Glaucoma and Uveitis. The 7 MD and 4 OD team is the number one resource in the community for eye care and has an active O.D. referral network.  They want every patient to maximize their daily life experiences and lifestyle through exceptional eye care, great customer service and excellent outcomes. This passion for providing phenomenal ophthalmologic care goes beyond their local practice.  Two of the M.D.’s share their talents, skills and care by helping needy people in underserved countries.

The incoming ophthalmologist can expect to be busy clinically and surgically. In the first year, expect a patient volume of approximately 20-30 patients per day with an estimated 6-8 cataract surgeries per week. These number will vary according to the incoming doctors skills, ability and work-pace. The practice is stable and growing and expects these patient numbers to rise.  They have seen increasing patient demand in each of the last 3 years and this trend is expected to continue.
Surgeries are performed at a conveniently located, practice owned, AAAHC-certified surgery center.

The practice’s primary location is in a charming borough northwest of Boston. The area offers wonderful housing options; suburban community living, urban downtown housing, or old-fashioned New England neighborhoods. The school systems are ranked among the very best in the state and the town has been called one of the best places to live in the U.S. by Money magazine.

The incoming doctor can expect a generous compensation package plus attractive productivity incentives and, after 2 years of employment, the potential for partnership in the practice and optical shop will be offered for suitable candidates. Later on, there is the opportunity for building and ASC ownership as well.

Boston has something for everyone. You will be immersed in U.S. history, world-class museums and cultural attractions, a vibrant economy, fanatical sports fans, ethnically diverse cultures and cuisine, distinguished academic and medical institutions, and a growing high-tech industry. Take a scenic 90- minute ferry ride from Boston across Cape Cod Bay to Provincetown or visit Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard for a weekend getaway.  Winter is its own wonderland here. Downhill skiing is 2 hours away in Bennington, NH.  Massachusetts is a true four seasons state and is a great place to get out and get active.

Interested physician candidates are invited to learn more about this wonderful opportunity. Please submit a cover letter along with your C.V. to info@ojonline.net
